Marton - Home Sweet Home by Anna

Here's my map of New Zealand with Marton clearly marked for you all.( Do feel free to visit if any of you are passing through). Having been born in the UK I came to live in New Zealand when I was 26. I have  been here over 30 years and definitely know that this is home!!! Hope you enjoy Margie.

'Home Tweet Home'

When Margie set the challenge Home....  I immediately thought of 'Home Sweet Home' which very quickly developed into 'Home Tweet Home' - had to be Tweety Pie.
I Googled 'Tweety' and came across hundreds of images to select from. So here is Tweety - hope you like it Margie.
"Oh! Oh! Dat BAD Puddy Tat" is very topical at the moment as we have a 'feral bad puddy tat' living next door who terrorises our little dog, what to do about it hmmm??.
cheers Lorraine

Deb - Home Is Where The Heart (Bum) Is!

At the time Margie suggested HOME as our theme I was 'babysitting' my granddaughters' hermit crabs! Along with their food and water they came with extra shells. Hermit crabs change homes as they grow. They are fascinating little creatures but I was quite happy to hand them back. I was terrified they might die whilst in my care! This quilt is machine appliqued and hand quilted with hearts, some are upside down and they look like little bums. So 'home is where the heart is' or in the case of the hermit crab 'home is where the bum is'!!  (I'm not sure if hermit crabs have hearts?)
Hope I haven't offended anybody by using the word bum.

Pam

Mr and Mrs May.....HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS.
Thought this would be easy!
This is my fourth attempt and I was very happy with the result.
Quilting first and applique followed, with some stuffing thrown in to make the owls dominate.
Hope you like it Margie.
News about meeting at the SYDNEY QUILT SHOW comin in an email soon.
Will get in touch with you about us all meeting for dinner with our small quilts!!!!
Chat soon.

Margie's Theme - Home "There's no place like home" stitched by Margie

Thought I'd get the ball rolling. I've gone traditional [again] with the "Trip around the world" pattern - no matter where I travel there is no place like home. Machine pieced and hand quilted. The little 1930's French button is from "Haberdash" in Castlemaine, a treasure trove of old "stuff".
