Silky Dragonfly by Anna

Dragonflies are so delicate and the wings flimsy that I decided to do a quilted version on silk fabric I was given by a chinese friend. After two months with no access to my sewing machine I have finally satisfied my quilting urge.
Sorry it is so late but have got there in the end.
Hope you enjoy Lorraine. Cheers Anna

Dragonfly by Mary for Lorraine

Hi Lorraine
This is my quilt, I enjoyed working with the colours and adding some machine stitching.
I tried out a new way of facing the quilt which I learned in my recent class with Lisa Walton.
Enjoy your quilt

Dragonfly by Lorraine

'Dragonfly'
Thank you ladies for the lovely photos on the blog and those little quilts arriving in my letterbox -- better than Christmas!!! I have them pinned up on the design wall drawing comments from everyone.
We often see dragonflies along the Sturt River, Coromandel Valley where we walk the dogs. The dragonflies' bright flashes of blue and green catch the eye as they dart over the water and grasses.
Have to put my thinking cap on for Medieval -- wow.
cheers Lorraine

The Dragon Flies by Kay W.

Self explanatory really!

Dragonfly by Ngaire

I found several pieces of fabric with dragonflies that I had in my stash but couldn't decide how to use them. A search through the books I had on the shelf produced one by Lorraine Carthew with this mosaic dragonfly. The original one is certainly not this small but it was a good challenge to get it correct. Hope you enjoy it.
Ngaire.
