Medieval 'M ' for Mary by Anna

I do love the old English Script from Medieval times with all the fancy embellishments around the letters. Here is my version of an M for you Mary done in that style. Very pleased that I have caught up with myself at last and managed to get this out on time.Enjoy your little quilts Mary, love Anna.

For King and Country by Kerry

Very traditional interpretation of Medieval but I love the stories of King Arthur and Maid Marion.Played with stamps, foils and paint. Enjoy your little knight,Mary.

"Il Palio di Sienna" stitched by Margie

Picture the jockeys racing around the Piazza del Campo in Sienna, as they have done since medieval times, dressed in the bright colours of their contrade [districts], the crowd with banners aloft.

Or, picture if you like the crowd at the football on Saturday afternoon – some things never change!

Deb - 'Snailbird"

When you Google 'Medieval' there are some weird and wonderful things!!
I found some interesting and strange animals that were used to illustrate medieval manuscripts. One of them was a 'Snailbird' (as my granddaughter calls it). I'd love to see one in real life!
Thank you for an interesting challenge Mary.

"Medi", the evil cat - for Mary

Hi Mary,

Had so much fun making this little quilt.

Kept thinking about an evil cat called Medi…..MEDIEVAL.

Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did making it for you, Mary.

Enjoy,

Pam

Dragonfly #3 - Judith

May be this should be called “Mission Dragonfly.”
In January we had a very eventful tour of the South Island and there, it seems, I left my creative muse, it went AWOL, just when I needed it most.
I do apologies for being so very late, Lorraine, but finally here is an interpretation of the Dragonfly, there are two more to complete but these need more time to contemplate and I’ve well and truly run out of that.
A fascinating challenge, with so many possibilities.
Thank you and enjoy
