Thank you ladies for your lovely little quilts. Lorraine if I was an applique quilter I too would have chosen a Dog for my theme loving my two little friends as I do. I found this version of the Friendship star block on the internet and thought it was an apt interpretation of friends, we as friends are bound by ribbons that join us together.

Quilting Friends from Lynn
Thanks to Ruth B. McDowell for the inspiration for "Friends" in her book "When Quilters Gather".
I am sorry this is so late as we have had computer problems.
Kerry, enjoy your gallery of friends.
Best wishes from Lynn.

The Path to a Friend's House - Helen
I decided on a slight variation of the well known expression - The Road to a Friend's House is Never Long. The words mean, quite simply, that distance is no barrier to true friendship.
Thank you for a lovely theme Kerry - and no batiks in this quilt!
The house is from Lessa's pattern 'Seaside Village'.
Friends - Mary
Hi Kerry
When I see oyster catchers and other birds who mate for life, I always think they must be devastated when they lose a partner for any reason.
So it is for those who have lost a loved one, friends for life and then alone.
However, on a happier note, I loved seeing you all at Symposium wasn't it a great event.
Maybe we should all try to get to Christchurch in 2017!
Love

Kerry's "FRIENDS" challenge - By KayH
"Hugs"
Sharing joy, sorrow, happiness, pain, achievement, and love. That's what friends are all about.
Great concept - it really was a "challenging challenge"" ....
All the best, Kerry!
