Years ago, I told my brother that I would be driving a suitcase of quilts for photography, and we were both amused by the mental picture. At my request, my nephew drew me a picture and I had great fun making a small quilt.
Here is a smaller version of a different way to travel.
Kerry, enjoy your "Travels". Best wishes from Lynn.

Travel - dream holiday by Mary for Kerry
Kerry, I visualised you on a tropical island, putting your busy life on hold.
Wouldn't that be nice for all of us?
Hoping to come to the Sydney show this year if I can get my friend organised.
So might make it to the dinner....
Love
Mary

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood…" stitched by Margie for Kerry
And sorry I could not
travel both
And be one traveler, long
I stood
And looked down one as
far as I could
To where it bent in the
undergrowth;
Then took the other, as
just as fair,
And having perhaps the
better claim,
Because it was grassy and
wanted wear;
Though as for that the
passing there
Had worn them really
about the same,
And both that morning
equally lay
In leaves no step had
trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for
another day!
Yet knowing how way leads
on to way,
I doubted if I should
ever come back.
I shall be telling this
with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages
hence:
Two roads diverged in a
wood, and I--
I took the one less
traveled by,
And that has made all the
difference.

Deb - 'Looking for Signs'
Whether we travel by car, boat or plane we are always on the lookout for some of these signs. Mostly the one in the top left hand corner for me these days!!
This was done using reverse applique. Some very tricky cutting was involved! Thank you for an interesting theme Kerry. I had fun researching this one.

Any Day Now by Kay H
Great fun with this Travel challenge….
"Just a peek through the porthole whilst cruising among tropical islands… what a life"
I decided to play with my watercolour pencils for the first time (I have had them for ages). Added some gold "lumiere" for a brass-like touch, used cheesecloth in folds for the sand and hand-painted the sky and water.

What can I say!
I enjoyed making this quilt and was attracted to the birds on their travel to ?????
Still learning to do this new way of binding a quilt. I like the look, but not my attempt.
Will be at the Quilt Show in Sydney.
I am again going to book the ADRIA - Rybar and Grill at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour.
They have an early bird dinner for $25. This includes a choice of a main meal and dessert.
You buy your own drinks. We will meet there at 6pm.
I am negotiating the FIREWORKS again for you all.
Please bring friends and family. Don't forget your collection of small quilts!
