This is the beautiful Japanese symbol for friendship and when tidying up in my cupboard I came across this old kimono silk which I have had in my stash for years. The symbol is made from linen so no bali batiks in sight for you Kerry. Was excellent to catch up with everyone at the New Zealand quilt symposium and we all amazingly happened to be in the merchant mall at the same time so captured a photo of the NZ contingent of our group. Ngaire has the photo so will be able to post it with her quilt.
